Introducing myself

Hey! I’m Matteo, a portrait photographer from Como, Italy.

My passion for photography started in 2012, almost by chance. To be precise, it began when I found myself holding my wife’s reflex camera and felt the desire to understand how it worked. From there, my path of growth and improvement began, and it continues today, always discovering and learning something new.

I am also passionate about sport, and for some years, I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the A1 Volleyball Series, both men’s and women’s, in collaboration with a Media Consulting company.

My approach to photography

As a portrait photographer, my goal is to capture and enhance the uniqueness and beauty of each individual. Looking at my portfolio, you will notice how I like to play with light and achieve distinctive effects that define my own style of photographing people.

Whenever needed, I collaborate with talented make-up artists to add further value to the photographs I create.

Whether it’s simple portraits, fashion, or beauty projects, the keywords in my work are quality and professionalism.

I strongly believe that every set is the result of teamwork, where each member contributes their skills and creativity to elevate the final result.

In this digital age, I find the rediscovery of analog photography particularly fascinating. Although not commercial, I believe the rendering of images on film is absolutely unique, with a vintage flavour while remaining clear and recognizable. Every now and then, I bring film cameras with me to savour the pleasure of slowing down and taking the time it takes to create a photo with a timeless taste.
